Takemichi is forced to make a difficult decision in episode 5 of Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown titled “Christmas Eve.”

As Takemichi and Chifuyu are forced to work together for a common goal, to stop Hakkai from killing Taiju, they make an awkward team-up and plan for Christmas night, where they put their plan into action.

Hina and Takemichi’s relationship also turns depressing after a request from her father to Takemichi. He also realizes the value of his words and decides to respect his advice and follow it through.

Episode 6 Speculation

We’ll see the team’s plan go into action as they await Christmas night and go to convince Hakkai not to kill Taiju. Takemichi has been put in charge of the convincing part, but he will likely get beaten up.

The rest of the team is supposed to beat up Taiju outside the church, but even outnumbered, the fight is Taiju-favored, and a universe where he loses this is quite unlikely, but we can never know for sure.

Takemichi, Chifuyu, and Kisaki all decide to stop Hakkai and destroy Taiju on Christmas day, and Tetta feels that Mikey will not last much longer. They begin quarreling and shifting blame, but Takemichi and Chifuyu have no choice but to go along.

Both Chifuyu and Takemichi start fighting over their situation; they’re forced to work with Kisaki even though he’s the one who murdered Baji and Hina. They need to save Taiju and kick Kisaki out of Toman.

To stop the previous future, Takemichi is prepared to do anything, and eventually, Chifuyu goes along with him. They decide to work with him until Christmas, but won’t be friends.

Takemichi meets up with Hina later and realizes he accidentally made plans with her on Christmas too. He realizes that Hina knows Kisaki from cram school and is shocked.

We see a flashback with Hina and Kisaki as kids in the same class; she admired his intelligence and was nice to him throughout. Takemichi explains what kind of person the current Kisaki is, but Hina still believes he’s a good guy.

In another memory of Hina, she remembers when she was about to be beaten up, but Takemichi jumped in and saved her, still losing the fight. That was the day that Hina fell in love with him.

He remembers that in the future, Hina will mention the exact meeting spot where he dumped her this year. Out of nowhere, Hina’s dad shows up and confronts him about dating his daughter.

He also talks about Naoto and his ambitions to be a police officer like him and thanks Takemichi for it. He asks him for a favor, to break up with his daughter. Since he’s part of a motorcycle gang, dating Hina puts her at risk.

On Christmas Eve, Takemichi breaks up with Hina at the park. She bursts out in anger and beats Takemichi up, and storms off. As he lies on the floor, he recalls everything about her, both future and past, and wonders what he will do now.

Afterward, he meets with the rest of the team and goes over their plan. Takemichi is in charge of convincing Hakkai to stop since they’re still friends.

Tokyo Revengers is a manga written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine on March 1, 2017, and ended its run in November 2022. It is compiled into 31 tankobon volumes.
