In the season 2 premiere of To Your Eternity, we learn that 40 years have passed since Fushi has been alone on the island. He grows lonely and ages, seeing as he hasn’t changed his form for many years. He meets Hayase’s reincarnation, Hisame, and I wonder if she is trustworthy.

Episode 2 Speculation
In the next episode of To Your Eternity, titled ‘Beating Will,’ we’ll see Tonari fight against Hisame and the Guardians to defend Fushi. We’ll also learn how Tonari became resistant to poison and what she has been doing for the past 40 years.
I hope to see a sweet reunion between Fushi and Tonari in the next episode. In the preview, it seemed like a Nokker had attacked and infested her, so I hope she survives somehow. We could also see Fushi in a new city, back in his teenage boy form.

Episode 1 Recap
The Beholder informs Fushi that it has been forty years since he has isolated himself on the island. He asks Fushi to meet his friends at sea after considering whether or not he feels lonely.
Fushi survived in the ocean for two years as a crab during the forty years, frequently getting lost or being eaten by larger fish. Fushi strongly refuses.
The Beholder informs him that Nokkers have begun attacking a location away from the island. Fushi wishes to depart to assist the civilians. A group of individuals led by a little girl emerges from the jungle.
The girl reveals herself to be Hisame, the 9-year-old granddaughter of Hayase. She tells Fushi it is her duty to guard him and that she will help him defeat the Nokkers.
The Guardians and Fushi spend days together traveling over the island. Fushi feels uncomfortable as Hisame approaches him near. One night, Hisame tries to sleep next to Fushi as he goes to sleep, but a Nokker infused in her left arm tries to attack him.
This angers Fushi since he believes Hisame misled him. It is clear that Hisame is Hayase’s reincarnation; her mother received the Nokker from Hayase and gave it to Hayase.
From the Beholder, Fushi learns about reincarnation. He reassures Fushi that despite being Hayase’s reincarnation, she is not the same person, which helps to calm him down.
They depart the island and reach the village that the Nokkers have attacked. Hisame proposes that she and the Guardians search for survivors in the community.
Two doctors who recognize him as Fushi the Immortal come across him. She informs him that the Guardians want him for themselves and issues a warning about them.
At this point, Hisame arrives with the Guardians, and everyone decides to eat together. The woman and Hisame argue over lunch because the woman thinks the Guardians are fooling Fushi.
Hisame requests that one of her staff members make them some tea. However, it is poisoned, causing Fushi and the male doctor to pass out.
The woman states that she has become accustomed to many poisons, strengthening her resistance to them. When an owl knocks them down, Hisame requests her servants to restrain her. She then recognizes the woman as Tonari of Jananda.
About To Your Eternity
To Your Eternity(Fumetsu no Anata e) is a manga series by Yoshitoki Oima. It has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2016. Crunchyroll releases its manga in English. It is being adapted into an anime by Studio Brain’s Base and will be released on April 12th.
The story follows an immortal being named Fushi whose purpose is to gain knowledge of the world. He travels from Kingdom to Kingdom and witnesses humans displaying their emotions. As the story progresses, this being takes the form of an abandoned boy and his wolf.
