In Episode 9, Fushi recognized Gugu as a brotherly figure. They decided to return to Granpa Beer’s shop and work together again.

Just when things were going perfectly, an unknown enemy appears before them. It’s probably the Fushi’s creator trying to harm him once again.

1. Episode 10 Preview & Speculation    

Episode 10 is titled “New Family.” It will continue with Fushi’s battle with his creator. It seems the creator has a specific goal in mind that he wants to accomplish through Fushi.

He cannot stand to see his godly creation trying to live a life like an ordinary human. So by attacking him all of a sudden, he may be trying to remind Fushi why he is sent to Earth.

I am more worried about Gugu since he isn’t immortal like Fushi. Death seems to follow Fushi wherever he goes, but will things be different this time.

Episode 10 of the To Your Eternity anime, titled “New Family”, has been released on Monday, Jun 14, 2021.

Since this anime runs on a weekly schedule, new episode releases are seven days apart.

3. Episode 9 Recap    

In Episode 9, Fushi transforms into the Great Spirit Bear and scares away the boys who bully Gugu for his appearance. They finally start understanding each other.

We get to see flashbacks of Gugu’s childhood days when he had a family to cherish. But soon, he realized that they were his employer, and he was working as a servant all this time.

Gugu’s brother was the only one who cared for him, but time changed that too. Now, he is completely alone, and deep down, he craves the love of a family.

Meanwhile, Rynn comes running to bring them back to Grandpa Beer’s shop. After multiple attempts, Rynn finally convinces Gugu to work for the shop again and live together.

But he cannot go back with the mask. Despite all that he said about being a monster, he is still insecure about his scar-filled face. Fushi transforms into the Wolf and brings back the wooden mask floating in the field’s shallow swamps.

Rynn has brought a mask for herself too. A mask will make it easier for her to keep her identity a secret and roam around the village without getting caught by the men her parents hired to bring her back.

Just when they were heading back to the shop, Fushi and Gugu gets attack by an unknown enemy. Its tree-like structure and ability to take a form hints that it must be sent by Fushi’s creator.

To Your Eternity(Fumetsu no Anata e) is a manga series by Yoshitoki Oima. It has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2016. Crunchyroll releases its manga in English. It is being adapted into an anime by Studio Brain’s Base and will be released on April 12th.

The story follows an immortal being named Fushi whose purpose is to gain knowledge of the world. He travels from Kingdom to Kingdom and witnesses humans displaying their emotions. As the story progresses, this being takes the form of an abandoned boy and his wolf.
