Titans Season 4 Episode 4: Release Date, Recap, and Speculation

The latest episode of Titans may not have answered all our questions, but it has definitely added a bunch of new ones surrounding season 4.

We have another addition to the team, even if it is a reluctant and temporary one, with the introduction of Jinx. Apart from that, Rachel has lost her powers, Kory and Gar have a mysterious connection to the magic Mother Mayhem wields, and Sebastian’s role in the sorceress’ schemes grows more interesting with every episode.

What can we expect next from Titans?

1. Episode 4 Synopsis/Speculation

With Rachel powerless, the titans have a weaker defense against Mother Mayhem. But Jinx’s arrival might help the superhero team if the magic wielder doesn’t get up to her usual antics.

Even if not Jinx, Kory has stood up to Mother Mayhem longer than any other Titan in their battle in the last episode. With her connection to the bloody visions and Mother Mayhem’s magic, the Titans still stand a chance against the evil sorceress with Starfire on their side.

Gar’s reveal as a skinwalker and his connection to the supernatural cult rituals remain unexplained. Still, with the resident paranormal expert Rachel on the case, viewers may finally learn some answers in the next episode.

Mother Mayhem’s interest in Sebastian was predictable, given his gory visions. But now, we think the sorceress plans to resurrect or channel Brother Blood into Sebastian – but what her endgame is, we’re too unsure to comment on for now.

Starfire testing the limits of her powers and Lex’s research about her definitely suggest she’s going to play a much more significant part in this than any of the titans. But let’s not forget Connor, who is directly tied to Lex.

Who knows when Mother Mayhem may target Connor as the successor of LexCorp? Or maybe he has a more direct role in her game too?

With each episode, the list of our questions about this season grows bigger, but we hope the next episode can answer a few of them.

5. Episode 3 Recap

Titans Season 4 Episode 4: Release Date, Recap, and Speculation
Connor Disrupts Mother Mayhem’s Plan with Sebastian

The Titans bring a powerless Rachel to the lab, where she admits she feels like someone erased her core presence. Dick and Kory head out to seek one of Dick’s ex-girlfriends, who dabbles in magic and is currently in prison. The episode introduces us to the titular character Jinx, escaping the prison to complete her robbery.

Dick and Kory follow her to an art dealer, but the object Jinx was looking for turns Kory to stone. On Jinx’s advice, Dick finds the spellcaster only to learn it was a trap set by Jinx, who is deep in debt. Dick promises to pay the amount in exchange for her help with fixing Kory and helping the Titans with their magical villain.

With Jinx on board, the two return to the lab where Connor and Tim have been hacking away into Mother Mayhem’s bloody attacks and robberies. They link the symbol found at the crime scene to Sebastian’s game and leave to find him.

Meanwhile, Sebastian is arrested for a murder he didn’t commit, and May Bennett finds him and tries to win him over to the dark side. She tries to channel a mysterious power, asking him to repeat her chants. But before Sebastian can complete the spell, Connor bursts through the cell and takes him away.

Throughout the episode, we get glimpses of Rachel and Gar’s side mission, where Beast Boy recruits the powerless titan’s help in figuring out his visions. The skinwalkers in his vision tell him he’s one of them, asking him to join their ranks.

But what is interesting is the connection between his vision about the blood moon and the world falling to evil matches as Kory saw while she was under the stone’s magic.
