Three hardpoint maps temporarily removed from CoD: Modern Warfare III

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s release date is November 10th. However, players have had early access to the title for a week, and it has not been without complaints.

Fans of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III are not happy with the spawn mechanics, some going as far as calling it the “worst ever” in the CoD series. In response, developers of Sledgehammer Games have temporarily removed Quarry, Rundown, and Scrapyard maps from the Hardpoint playlists.

The Day One updates also include improved Spawn Anchor Points. This would result in a better match flow. However, the spawn-related problems persisted, resulting in the temporary removal of the three maps.

The developers also mentioned that a probe is ongoing for the issue, causing a sub-par experience with the spawns. While the resolution of the spawn issue is uncertain as of now, it will likely be solved shortly.

However, the fact that Sledgehammer Games took such prompt action is commendable. Fans are unhappy because of the issues plaguing Modern Warfare III, but they understand that titles of this scale have minor problems.

Modern Warfare III also received a significant update that passed 100GB in size across all platforms. However, this did not help the cause of fixing bugs and stability in Modern Warfare III much.

Along with bugs and other minor issues, players are also not happy about the overall quality of production of the title. Veterans of the game have called the new Modern Warfare III plot filled with unnecessary fillers.

Modern Warfare III was supposed to link the past generations of Call of Duty titles and the future CoD titles. For that to happen, many changes must be made, and Sledgehammer must work proactively with the community to ensure everything falls into place and feedback is heard.
