2. Episode 9 Speculation
The Executioner didn’t think he would not be able to control Ashagan and it is making him act irrationally. He keeps killing people, which is causing Cugat despair. Despite being heavily injured, Cugat tries his best to protect his comrades.
Meanwhile, Helga does not know how to bring Ashagan under control and has resigned herself to death. However, she is sad that she will have to die without kissing anyone, which gives Ashaf an idea.
We have only seen Guideau’s true form once before, and it is incredibly strong. Kissing a witch is the way to temporarily break the curse Guideau is under, allowing her to use her real body for a while. We will see if the true form is strong enough to last against Ashagan.

The Executioner has his hands on Helga, who is losing her hope of survival. Ashagan demands Guideau return him to Helga, as lifting his seal is impossible without her. Guideau finds Ashaf frozen, and he reveals that Cugat saved him.
Ashaf treats Cugat, and Guideau updates him on the current situation. The Executioner shows up with an army, and Cugat realizes that his forbidden instrument, Ishlingen, allows him to use mind control. However, he could not control Helga no matter what he tried.
Helga escapes, and Ashaf asks Guideau to take Helga and run while he holds the army back. However, the Executioner lies as Helga, under his mind’s control, stabs Guideau and takes Ashagan. The Executioner reveals that he knows everything about Ashagan.
Drawing the demon sword does not lift the seal; only a witch’s heart does. The Executioner stabs Helga with Ashagan and breaks the seal. Helga is reminded of back when the Executioner killed her family, and her sister entrusted her with Ashagan.
The demon sword transforms and slices a straight path through everything. The Executioner demands that Ashagan kill Cugat, but the demon sword starts killing indiscriminately. Ashaf reveals that the demon sword has no mind that the Executioner can control.
Cugat tries his best to protect everyone, but the Executioner refuses to stop. He cannot be harmed as he is the one who drew Ashagan, so he looks for more sacrifices. Ashaf decides to let Guideau bring out her ace, and Guideau kisses Helga, awakening her true form.
