New Trailer for ‘The Tale of the Outcasts’ Confirms January Debut

Set in a fictitious 19th-century British Empire, ‘The Tale of the Outcasts’ is a story of two lonely beings in search of peace. Combining historical events with fictional concepts such as beasts and magic, this anime is a treat for those who love those two genres.

Its protagonists, Wisteria and Marbas, aren’t the heroes but two people who are so different yet so similar and are the reason people love this story. Fans of the manga have been anticipating the anime’s debut, which is not so far away now.

The latest trailer for ‘The Tales of the Outcasts’ confirms the anime’s premiere on January 8, 2023.

The trailer begins on a tragic note, with Marbas almost engulfed in flames as Wisteria calls out to him. It moves on to show how the pair met and started traveling across the British Empire, populated by humans and beasts alike.

As the theme songs start playing in the background, the pace picks up, and we get many combat scenes showing supernatural and magical duels. We also witness the development of Marbas and Wisteria’s relationship as they overcome various adversities.

Besides this, the video also previews the show’s opening and ending theme songs. The OP is ‘Ashita no Katachi’ (Shape of Tomorrow) by Wisteri’s voice actor Ayana Taketatsu and the ED is ‘Rewrite’ by Hakubi.
