In a world of Kings and Queens, lived Seven Knights known in the Kingdom as the Seven Deadly Sins. When demons threatened to destroy the Liones Kingdom, Princess Elizabeth decided to gather up the knights once again, and free her Kingdom. This is what Nakaba Suzuki’s manga Seven Deadly Sins is all about.
This adventurous storyline even resulted in several manga spin-offs and anime. Now, the franchise is adding another anime film to their collection. But, this film might be the last one in the franchise.
Seven Deadly Sins’ official website has unveiled a teaser trailer for the Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light anime film releasing on 2nd July.
The teaser brings back our Princess Elizabeth and Knight Meliodas duo as they pump themselves up for the final story. The burst of fire and scattered feathers give the teaser quite the ominous look and makes you wonder what’s to happen next.
The visual shows Princess Elizabeth, Meliodas, and the other Knights with determined looks on their faces, ready for the final fight. As heartbreaking as it is to imagine, the poster confirms Cursed by Light as the final film of the franchise with the words “Farewell, Seven Deadly Sins” written in white.
The film will have a completely original plot written by none other than Nakaba Suzuki himself. It will be set after The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement anime timeline. Although, nothing else about the story is revealed, the production team had already informed the fans that it will be the last film of the franchise.
While you are waiting for the anime film’s premiere, you can binge watch the The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement anime in the meantime.
The first episode of the 5th season was released in January 13, 2021 and the series is currently still airing.
