“The Rising of the Shield Hero” to Arrive in October

Naofumi, Raphtalia, and others will begin a new journey as they prepare for the following Wave against the Phoenix in the anime’s third season. This new season is now closer than ever as the staff for the “The Rising of the Shield Hero” have now confirmed the release date.

Fans are enthralled with the news, and here’s everything you need to know before the release of this anime.

The staff for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 announced that the season will premiere on October 6 at 9:00 p.m. JST on AT-X before airing on other stations.

The anime had its world premiere screening at Anime Expo on July 3. The anime has held advance screenings in five countries as a part of its marketing strategy.

Hitoshi Haga, who storyboarded five episodes and directed four episodes from the anime’s first season, is the third season’s new director.

MADKID will perform the third season’s opening theme song, “SIN.” Chiai Fujikawa will perform the ending theme song “Suki ni Natte wa Ikenai Riyū” (The Reason I Cannot Love You).

The second season of The Rising of the Shield Hero concluded the Spirit Tortoise arc. The season wasn’t the best, and most fans were disappointed.

However, most of them have not given up on it yet. Since the new season indicates a change in the story, it could redeem itself. We hope the staff noted what viewers did not like about the second season.

This might be the only redeeming chance for the series because no one will want to watch it any further if this season also fails. We have to wait patiently and see if the change of the director will help the situation.

Tate no Yusha no Nariagari or The Rising of the Shield Hero is an isekai light novel series written by Aneko Yusagi. It was initially published as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website from 2012 to 2015.

In August 2013, Media Factory started publishing the light novel series with an expanded storyline featuring illustrations by Seira Minami.

Later on, Kinema Citrus adapted the light novel into an anime television series. The first episode aired on 9 January 2019.
