The Promised Neverland Live-Action Updates – 2020 Release Date

The Promised Neverland has been one of the most influential anime of the decade, which unlike the shonen genre does not entirely focus on all-out feats of strength. Initially released in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 2016.

This story revolves around Emma, Norman and Ray, 3 kids at the Grace Field House Orphanage and their discovery about the disturbing truth regarding the person they call “mom”. A live-action movie has been announced for the franchise.

The production house tweeted out confirmation regarding the release earlier this year. The movie is expected to be released in December 2020. New stills from the movie have also been released.

The official website of the movie updated it’s information recently, revealing that the release timeframe for the Live-Action Adaptation of The Promised Neverland is December 2020.

New stills from the movie have also been released and they give off a really eerie vibe, implying that this may be one of the rare cases when a live-action movie is actually good. The series has gained a lot of popularity recently, and production for a second season of the anime has also been greenlit.

About The Promised Neverland

Created by Kaiu Shirai, this series debuted at a Weekly Shonen Jump manga in 2016. Licensed by VIZ Media for an English Language release, this series has gained popularity exponentially, selling 4.2 million copies in a short period of time. The story revolves around the horrific truths of an orphanage discovered by 3 bright kids: Emma, Norman and Ray.
