Chapter 179, titled “Compensation,” starts with Emma crying over Isabella’s death. When Mujika appears and announces that all the children are “finally free,” atmosphere lightens up a bit.
A few panels later, everyone prepares to go back to human world. They are worried about the compensation for letting all the children go to human world. What comes out as a shock is Emma’s revealation that there is no compensation.
Accoridng to her, the Demon God has said “These last 1000 years of suffering will be your compensation. I will not taking anymore from you.” (which is just absurd coming from a tyrant, but well, this is shonen).
Everyone then returns to the human world, but Emma is missing without anybody knowing what happened. The chapter ends with Emma lying on what seems to be a snowy ground while a mysterious man stands next to her.
Did she lie? Was there a promise? Or she just “happen to land somewhere else?“
