The fourth episode takes us to the UBA Upfront party in the Hamptons, where the UBA staff gathers to celebrate and network. However, not everything is as glamorous as it seems. Bradley and Alex have to deal with some unresolved issues from their past relationships, while Stella, Cory & Mia face harsh truths about working for UBA.

So, let’s focus on how the episode ends without further ado.

This week’s episode ends with Alex and Paul stopping at a food stand to have a bite together. The vendor there knows Alex and starts hurling misogynistic abuses at her.

Alex keeps her cool, but Paul is outraged. He confronts the vendor and calls him out for his sexist attitude. After that debacle, they leave the scene and discuss what happened.

Alex says she is used to such hostility from men with low self-esteem, who project their anger at the women in their lives. However, she does not let them get to her.

Meanwhile, Cory has just finished talking to Stella about the Ellipse deal when he sees Fred Micklen, the man he despised for siding with a sexual predator. Cory decides to confront him and find out what he is doing there.

To his dismay, he learns that Ellipse has hired Fred to monitor UBA and report any problems.

Meanwhile, Laura apologizes to Bradley for making her feel uncomfortable. At that time, Cory storms in and orders Bradley to mingle with the ad executives and secure some deals. He reminds her of how much he has done for her, including paying off the terrorists who had threatened to leak her private photos.

Elsewhere, Mia shows Greta the photos Andre took in Mariupol, where a violent conflict is unfolding. Greta wants to air them immediately, but Mia hesitates, fearing for Andre’s safety. However, Greta manages to convince Mia somehow, and the piece is aired.

The episode finally ends with Cory exposing Fred in front of Stella.

Cory tells Stella that Fred has been secretly working with Sloan behind their backs. Stella is furious and immediately asks him to fix this. Cory assures her that he will handle it himself. They leave the room and see a helicopter landing nearby. Out comes Alex with Paul Marks, the media mogul.

Everyone is stunned by this unexpected arrival. This could be the chance they need to seal the deal with UBA. Cory wonders how Alex pulled it off.
