The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria Launches in Fall 2023

The Summer Game Fest was an exciting event for gaming enthusiasts. Several developers and publishers confirmed the launch dates for their upcoming titles as well as giving us a hint of the gameplay. One such title is The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, which was first revealed back in 2022.

Developer Free Range Games announced that The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria will now be launched this Fall instead of Spring 2023. The good news is that the game will be released simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is the only survival crafting game set in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth during the Fourth Age. The game will follow Lord Gimli Lockbearer as he summons a daring group of dwarves to take back the long-lost kingdom of Khazad-dûm.

Moria is the labyrinthine mine known for producing mithril, the mythical metal prized for its strength and resiliency in dwarven armscrafting. The mystical world of Moria will be a treasure to explore. Players can either play solo or with companions.

In The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, you can excavate the mysteries of the three legendary mountains, extract precious metals, scrape to survive, and battle mysterious forces lurking within the Shadow. An interesting detail is that no two playthroughs will be the same.

About The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

Developed by Daedelic Entertainment and published by Nacon, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is an upcoming action-adventure game.
According to the developers, the game will have combined stealth and action-adventure driven elements, focusing on Gollum as he tries to retrieve the One Ring of Power. Gollum’s split personality, Smeagol, gives players two distinct playstyles. While Gollum is a violent and ferocious attacker, Smeagol uses stealth to his advantage. The game would cover Gollum’s time as a slave under the Dark Tower all through his residence in Mirkwood with the Elves.
