Touka Scott reluctantly becomes the hero in episode 1 of The Legendary Hero is Dead, titled “The Hero is Dead?!”
Well, we have yet another ecchi harem revolving around a perverted loser who gets the job of saving the world. This time he gets the job because of an accident. An accident that kills the world’s strongest hero.
He is accompanied by his childhood friend and a necromancer named Anri. The anime had a generic start with a few funny moments. Let’s see whether it continues to be generic or does something new.

Touka’s life will be in danger in episode 2 of The Legendary Hero is Dead, titled “Fake Hero.”
The tough adventure has started, and Touka meets his first hurdle in the form of Kyle. Kyle is after his life, and from the preview, he will try all the ways to kill him.
However, Anri doesn’t want him to be the hero for some dumb reason. Despite being so powerful, she is a fool enough to think that Touka killed the hero and it wasn’t an accident. She will stop Kyle from killing Touka, and their journey will continue.
2. Episode 2 Release Date
Episode 2 of The Legendary Hero is Dead will be released on Thursday, April 13, 2023. It is a weekly anime, and new episodes are released every Thursday.

3. Episode 1 Recap
It has been three years since Hero Sion sealed the hell’s gate. Three months have passed since then. Touka is a perverted farmer who covers a radish with socks just because it resembles the shape of a thigh.
His childhood friend Yuna is frustrated by his nature. Suddenly, a demon attacks their area, and Yuna is under attack. Sion tries dumb ways to save her, but Sion Blandan appears and saves her.
Yuna is elated to see him. The hero remembers her face three years ago as he saved her back then. Touka is frustrated to see Sion getting the limelight.
Sion is pleased by the smell of meat and heads toward Touka’s house. However, he falls into the bamboo trap that Touka made for demons and dies. The villagers start to panic, and Touka tells them to bury the body so that no one can know about it.
The next morning, when Touka wakes up, he discovers that his face resembles Sion’s. He goes to Yuna and tells her he is Touka, not the hero.
Suddenly, they hear the voice of someone who claims to be behind this incident. Touka finds a necromancer named Anri Haysworth on his farm. She tells him that she put Touka’s soul into Sion’s body.
She tells him that he will save the world now, and she will kill him if he doesn’t listen. Yuna also gets ready to tag along. They go to Bern to prepare for their journey.
Touka uses the name of the hero to exploit everyone. He comes around a man the hero promised to fight and gets beaten up. At the adventure guild, Anri meets Kyle Osment, the hero’s former comrade.
The town folks prepare to give Touka the death penalty for faking as the hero. Kyle interferes, but even he fails to save the loser. In the end, Yuna puts up the challenge of killing the most demons to prove that he is the real deal.
Later, Anri tells Touka that his sword is not working properly because of his terrible mana. Kyle asks Anri whether he can be the hero, to which she disagrees.
He points the sword at Touka, saying that if he kills him, he can definetly become the hero.

The Legendary Hero is Dead! (Yūsha ga Shinda! Murabito no Ore ga Hotta Otoshiana ni Yūsha ga Ochita Kekka.) is a manga series by Sabaruichi. It was serialized in Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday Website and MangaONE app from December 2014 to December 2020.
Sion Bladan, the hero who formerly sealed the demon realm, is on a quest to reseal the portal. However, he dies by falling into a pit dug by Touka. Anri uses Touka’s soul to bring Shion back. With Touks’s friend Yuna, the three embark on the quest to rid the world of demons once again.
