Touka and Yuna get trapped in Touka’s past in episode 9 of The Legendary Hero is Dead, titled “Into the Hero’s Past.”

The episode was all about the protagonist’s tragic and sad past. However, Touka didn’t time travel. He was just sent into another world created by a high-rank demon. 

Yuna felt sad for treating him like trash without knowing how much hardship he went through (he is still trash). They fought the high-rank demon and paved their way out of the illusion.

1. Episode 10 Speculations

We will see the magic warrior corps execute their mission in episode 10 of The Legendary Hero is Dead. 

Well, this is an interesting addition to a bland plot. The anime isn’t going anywhere and is mildly interesting. We can still hope that at least this new corps is something exciting with some not-so-one-dimensional characters.

We will know more about the necromancer who gave Leland his powers. I hope he is at least somewhat compelling. Touka and his team have little time to save Yuna. So they have to move a bit faster.

3. Episode 9 Recap 

Touka wakes up in his past. He is shocked by this sudden time travel and doesn’t understand how he got there. He goes out and makes girls wear thigh socks, but no one gets angry at him. 

However, he still saw his father beating up his mother. He realizes that he will meet Yuna that very day. He goes up into the forest and finds the grown-up Yuna naked. 

He learns that it is just an illusion created by magic. However, since the people he knows still act normal, he concludes that they are not in the past but actually in a world made from his memories. 

They find a space through which they go through different times and locations and relive Touka’s past. They go through certain good and many bad memories. Touka tries to save his mother but fails. 

Yuna gets sad and regrets how she always judged him without realizing how much suffering he has gone through. She starts crying and apologizes to him. 

He tells her not to be an idiot and tells her that she is the one who has always saved him in all kinds of situations. Suddenly, a high-rank demon shows up. He is the one who created this world.

He tells them that it is impossible for them to get out of there as killing him is the only way out. They try to get to the memory of when Touka was the strongest.

However, none of that works, as the demon has all the power to work against the hero. He brutally attacks him, but Yuna saves him. They realize that the demon is not able to see Yuna. 

So, with her help, Touka unleashes an attack that cuts off the demon’s hand. The demon tries to read his mind, but “thighs” are only what his opponent thinks about.  

Touka promises her that he will save her in the real world too. When he wakes up, he can still see Yuna’s spirit. His other companions join him too. Siruela gets angry at Touka for not giving her any information on the necromancer. 

Lothal Charis, the court magician, tells her not to worry as his elite magic warrior corps has reached the hideout of the culprit.

The Legendary Hero is Dead! (Yūsha ga Shinda! Murabito no Ore ga Hotta Otoshiana ni Yūsha ga Ochita Kekka.) is a manga series by Sabaruichi. It was serialized in Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday Website and MangaONE app from December 2014 to December 2020.

Sion Bladan, the hero who formerly sealed the demon realm, is on a quest to reseal the portal. However, he dies by falling into a pit dug by Touka. Anri uses Touka’s soul to bring Shion back. With Touks’s friend Yuna, the three embark on the quest to rid the world of demons once again.
