The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered’s Guitar mode will feature series composer

• Developers Naughty Dog have revealed that Series composer Gustavo Santaolalla will be playable in the upcoming The Last of Us Part 2 Remaster.
• The players will also be allowed to play the banjo as a part of this mode as either Gustavo or Ellie.
• With the release just a fortnight away, players are excited for the guitar free play as well as the Lost Levels and the No Return Mode.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is just around the corner, with a fortnight until its release. Ahead of its release, developers Naughty Dog are doing a great job teasing future content.

As part of the upcoming Guitar Free Play mode for The Last of Us Part 2, Naughty Dog confirmed they will allow players to use a Banjo and play as series composer Gustavo Santaolalla instead of Ellie.

This is quite a good inclusion for all Last of Us franchise veterans. It shows that the developers are delivering on their promise of including more unfinished modes in the game and giving players more flexibility.  

However, the Guitar Free play mode is not grabbing the headlines for understandable reasons. The roguelike No Return Mode is the apple of the eye of most fans. 

The Last of Us franchise will feature multiple playable characters in this mode. Joel Miller, a fan-favorite character, will also be featured in this No Return mode. 

The No Return Mode is the one Naughty Dog is marketing the hardest for obvious reasons. These are part of the Lost Levels that could not reach the original Last of Us Part 2.

These Lost Levels will also include a Developer’s Commentary. The Lost Levels include Jackson Dance, Boar Hunt, and Sewers. Fans are the most worried about the last of the three. 

An official tweet by Naughty Dog has confirmed that players will instantly be awarded all the trophies they earned in the original version. Most new trophies to unlock would be concerning the No Return Mode. With the Remastered just a fortnight away, players are excited and gearing up for the launch.

About The Last of Us Part II

The Last of Us Part II is a an action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. The game is set 5 years after the events of the first game.

Players control Ellie on her journey for revenge against The Wolves, a faction which has set up in Seattle. On her journey, Ellie fights against survivors of the Cordyceps apocalypse and new variants of the infected. The game mixes elements of stealth and gun-play in vast areas, allowing players to approach the situation as they see fit. The Last of Us Part 2 received an overall positive reception and has gone on to win several Game of the Year awards.
