The show has over 200 episodes and has sustained a significant viewership throughout its decade-long tenure on the network. Its creator, Adam F. Goldberg, drew inspiration from his own childhood experiences while creating the show.
As per Deadline’s report, The Goldbergs season 10 will mark the conclusion of the popular period sitcom.
The show’s final episode is scheduled to air sometime in May, serving as a farewell to the Goldbergs and their comical escapades throughout the years.
The upcoming season is poised to provide a satisfactory ending, ensuring that all loose ends are tied up, and that the audience gets closure.
Let’s Talk about The Ending
The end may not come as a shock to many, as the show has experienced the loss of two prominent cast members in recent years.
George Segal, who played Pops Solomon, sadly passed away in March 2021, while Jeff Garlin, who portrayed Murray Goldberg, departed from the series after allegations of misconduct.
Moreover, Murray was written off, and his death was used to explain Garlin’s absence. Therefore, the Goldberg family is not as close as it was when the series premiered.
According to reports, season 10 has already hinted at the series conclusion.
Instead of leaving for college, Adam has remained home with his mother, Beverly, to cope with Murray’s death.
The departure of Garlin’s character will factor into the show’s ending, particularly as Adam embarks on a relationship with Carmen.
Additionally, Erica’s graduation from college and impending motherhood shows the growth of Goldberg’s children, suggesting that the family sitcom may be approaching its natural end.
