Komura meets Mei near a vending machine. He thinks she will have a problem using the machine without her glasses. She picks up black coffee by mistake.

She asks Komura if he would like to have it as she doesn’t like it. Komura is unable to bring himself to drink it. The next morning, Komura rushes for school as he is late.

He meets Mei midway, but she is unable to recognize him. While waiting for the signal, she is worried about her hair, thinking she will say hi to Komura with that messy look. This causes Komura to malfunction, and he is unable to move for some time.

Mei gets hurt during sports, and Komura carries her to the nurse’s room. She apologizes to him as she has gained some weight lately. When they reach the room, she mistakenly stands on a weighing machine.

Komura tells her that she is not that heavy, but she tells him to forget everything that happened. Komura finds Mei in tears during a class. He finds out that she was laughing with some friends.

He starts wondering how she looks while laughing and regrets not being able to see it. She comes to the class wearing her glasses. Komura feels a little sad, but he forgot his textbook, giving them a chance to sit together again.

Mei takes Komura with her to buy a new pair of glasses. He is unable to decide which one is good for her. He tells her that she looks fine to him no matter which glasses she wears, or even if she wears none at all.

She picks up her usual pair. The next morning, she again wakes up with broken glasses which she damaged while sleeping. 

4. About The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses

The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses or “Sukimega” (Suki na Ko ga Megane o Wasureta) is a romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Koume Fujichika.

It follows the spectacled girl Ai Mie and her deskmate, Kaede Komura, who is in love with her. Kaede wants Ai to notice him, and finds her adorable when she’s squiting her eyes after forgetting her glasses.

Ai has a tendency to forget her glasses and Kaede often helps her out because of it. Unknown to Ai, Kaede’s feelings keep on growing and soon he becomes the person she looks forward to seeing despite the bad eyesight.
