Mundane Mann finally reveals his true identity in episode 19 of The Eminence in Shadow, titled “Dancing Pupper”.

As another battle progresses with Princess Iris facing off against our protagonist in disguise, she realizes the extent of the strength and range of his sword. Even unsheathed, she cannot take one step closer.

Rose makes an entrance to the Kingdom and begins taking action on her drastic plan to save the Kingdom, but is stopped by Shadow in the nick of time from doing something that she may regret.

Episode 20 Speculation

As Shadow has revealed himself and now takes on Beatrix in battle, this one will surely be a close fight since Beatrix has shown to be extremely strong compared to any of the previous foes we’ve had.

However, the victory is in favor of Shadow purely due to how obscenely strong he is, but he will have to use more effort than usual this time and will still likely not kill Beatrix because of his curiosity.

Recap of Episode 19

Iris recalls her journey to the position she is in now, being a child prodigy of immense strength and working her way up the ranks through the Knights. Her father impeded her goals and revoked her royal authority and standings.

Cid is getting used to the VIP treatment as Iris comes and sits next to him again, much to his annoyance. Beatrix breaks into the VIP room with her sword and all, as the security tries and stop her.

She comes and sits down with Iris and gets special treatment from everyone there as she asks around for someone who looks exactly like her. She talks about Cid, and he ultimately tries to work around all her comments.

The king is continuously drugged on repeat and even taunted about Rose’s current standing in the Kingdom. Lord Perv continues thinking about Mundane Mann and worries about the Shadow Garden getting in the way of his plans.

Claire also shows her skill at the battle, and Iris walks towards her match as she steps up to the arena. She faces Mundane Mann, is curious about his strength, and plans to finish it quickly.

As the fight begins, Iris is decapitated before realizing what has happened. But she finds her neck intact as she backs off two steps and realizes that she is instinctively learning the range of Cid’s sword.

Meanwhile, the Shadow Garden has entered and is slowly taking over the arena. Iris is forced into a corner as she cannot stop anywhere, even close to Mundane Mann, without imminent death impending.

She decides to give it her all in a final blow as she charges towards him with all her might, but he is way too fast for her to even think of reacting as he pins her to the ground. He did not even have his sword on hand at the moment.

Rose finally appears at the arena, approaches the drugged king, apologizes to him, and declares that she will follow the path she desires. She charges immediately and stabs the king.

She goes to stab herself after, but Mundane Mann breaks in through the window and takes them all out in one swing. He reveals himself as Shadow, the leader of the Shadow Garden and everyone is completely shaken.

Rose remembers him from childhood and quickly runs out to complete her task. Beatrix goes to attack Shadow and trades blow in a colossal shockwave.
