As the festival starts, Cid manages to make his way into the hyper VIP section and sits alongside one of the royal family. She apologizes for the incident that Alexia caused in the past, and Cid awkwardly accepts it.

Iris has her eye on Annerose and is sure that she will win this tournament, considering her past feats and immense strength. Cid slyly mentions Mundane Mann and builds some discussion.

There is also the rumor that an elf warrior has made his way into the tournament, and Cid is surprised that she is famous. Speak of the devil, Beatrix runs into him, and they awkwardly exchange a conversation.

They exchange some food and part ways; Lord Perv Asshat makes his way to the VIP section and sits alongside Iris, and begins flirting with her. He also seems suspicious as he starts commenting about the royals out of nowhere.

Meanwhile, Annerose faces off against Mundane Mann, and the fight looks like it’s going to be very one-sided. They draw their blades, and even Annerose is somewhat wary of his skills after observing him.

She moves immensely fast and goes to finish the fight as quickly as she can before he can show his speed. But all she was doing was merely chasing an afterimage as he appeared behind her and slammed her into the ground.

She realizes his true strength, which is way beyond what she could even imagine. Waiting for an attack, she tries to counter but is not quick enough and loses to the blade. Iris was spot on with her intuition as she realized his strength too.

Lord Perv Asshat is also suspicious of Mundane Mann and moves to crush any problems before it arises and wants to take action immediately. Annerose approaches Mundane Mann after the battle and shows her admiration.

She asks him how he became so strong, and he drops some mysterious lines with confidence and leaves the scene satisfied. Meanwhile, Iris destroys her opponent with ease and progresses through the tournament.
