Cid makes a beautiful plan to show off in episode 15 of The Eminence in Shadow, titled “The Strongest Weakest Man.”

Wanting not to out himself but still gain the validation of the populace as one of the strongest people on the planet. Cid plans to disguise himself and enter the Bushin festival, showing off most dramatically.

He disguises himself as frail and mysterious, showing no aura or fighting talent but a façade of mystery that makes people think he may be vital. He plans to reveal his strength in the tournament’s later stages and takes it easy at the start.

Episode 16 Speculation

Princess Rose has stabbed her fiance and runoff, and the development there will quickly advance as we will likely find her running into someone we know, most likely Cid. However, her escape will not be easy, as the newspaper headlines have her face printed on them.

Meanwhile, the tournament will continue, and Mundane Man will face off against Goldy; the outcome is obviously in the former’s favor. It is only a question of how much he will show to the audience and whether they will all realize his true strength immediately.

Recap of Episode 15

The clock sounds in the town as Cid watches it from a high tower, judging the strength of all the warriors below. He knows what he must do; he must enter the tournament and show off to gain validation.

Cid meets up with Gamma and says he wants to disguise himself and enter the Bushin festival. She naturally follows his plan and decides not to ask any questions at his request.

An entire clothing line is brought to him as she applies some slime to change his appearance; however, he looks chubbier. They carve his face to one of his choices and choose one who looks weak and mundane.

He looks completely different as the slime proves its worth in making his disguise perfect. He goes through the other outfits, Gamma trips on the stairs, and her nose bleeds again.

Annerose from, Velgalta’s Seven blades has also made an appearance as she walks to the festival and runs into Mundane. She insults him for his little armor and weak second-hand sword and warns him not to enter the competition.

He blows her off and continues walking to the festival, glad that his plan has worked exactly as he expected. Another man named Quinton, a humongous figure, also decides to stop him and tells him to leave since someone this weak cannot fight in it.

Cid taunts the man and takes a punch to the face from Quinton as he demands an apology but only receives more insults thrown at him. He analyses his many options and decides not to fight back.

He leaves with a mysterious aura and leaves Annerose curious about his strength, precisely according to his plan. We see a conversation about the potential winners of the tournament over lunch and get an idea of the participants.

Speaking of them, Rose is also a participant and meets Cid on the way out. She talks about Alexia and Natsume near a fountain. She says of her past and the mysterious hero who saved her that fateful day of the massacre, and Cid gives her a parting gift.

Mundane Man debuts in the fight against an opponent of massive build rated 1364 by Goldy Gilded, the Ever-Victorious Golden Dragon. Mundane Man looks measly and small compared to him, placed just a 33.

He predicts Gonzales’s win in less than a second, and the victory goes to Mundane Man, who takes him out in a shot not even visible to the average eye, and Goldy pretends to have known this all along.

Princess Rose is on the front page of the next episode after stabbing her fiance and running off.
