Anything can happen in the isekai world, but Kinji from The Dungeon of Black Company got slapped with a terrible fate instead of a hero’s destiny.
The upcoming anime is a hilarious isekai where you get to see a lazy eccentric protagonist fueled only by money and laziness. The fact that the protagonist is not summoned as a hero to save the world makes it different from the rest of the isekai.
The Dungeon of Black Company released a new PV for their upcoming anime adaptation which will debut on July 9th, 2021.
The new PV shows Kinji, the protagonist, dreaming about taking over the Black Company. He has been working towards it ever since he was transported there.
Along with it, there are scenes of Ranga displaying his dual personality. On one hand, he acts all kawaii, and on the other, he is the most feared mage at the Company.
Also, a rather interesting character was revealed in the PV who looks like a goblin. Its name and other details haven’t been made public yet.
The PV also reveals the ending theme of the upcoming anime as ‘World is Mine’ by the rock band Humbreaders.

The band comments how they read the manga and felt sympathy for the protagonist Kinji. So they kind of played around with the song and lyrics and enjoyed the process.
The anime is called a ‘ruthless comedy’ because Kinji, a person who has never worked hard, is forced into slavery.
It is comical in a sense as isekai generally makes the person a hero in the other world. Whereas in the Dungeon of Black Company, he was summoned to work.
It really breaks expectations in terms of the story, and I definitely recommend watching it.
Stay tuned for more!
