The Duke of Death And His Maid Ep 10 Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Episode 9, titled ‘The Duke, Alice, and the Christmas Eve Vow,’ marked the much-awaited union of Duke and his younger brother, Walter.

Earlier in the episode, Walter followed Viola to the mansion by disguising himself as her driver. In the hope to see Duke depressed and lonely, he sneaked into the mansion.

Thanks to Viola, Walter landed in front of Duke. While Duke was happy to see him, Walter yelled at him for being the firstborn.

Later, Walter challenged Duke that whoever discovers the cure to his curse first becomes the heir of the family title. Duke accepted the challenge and the Christmas celebration came to an end.

Episode 10 Preview & Speculation

Walter is determined to become the heir to the family title and could do anything for him. It looks like he could go to any extent to find a cure for Duke’s curse. This is good for Duke because the only reason he wants to cure his curse is so that he can embrace Alice. 

After Zain confessed to Cuff, he found her asleep and laid her on the sofa. Her eyes opened for a few seconds after that, confirming that she had actually heard him very clearly and was just pretending to be asleep. 

Meanwhile, Duke’s mother must be aware of Viola and Walter’s absence by now. Since Viola’s cart driver knows where Viola and Walter are, I wonder if she will come to the mansion in the next episode. 

If that happens, we could finally see Duke meeting his mother. Moreover, she might also reveal something about the curse. The next episode is going to be fun, and we expect it to move further with the plot points.

Episode 10 of the The Duke of Death and His Maid (2021) anime, titled “The Duke, Alice, and a Song for Two”, has been released on Sunday, Sep 05, 2021.

Since this anime runs on a weekly schedule, new episode releases are seven days apart.

Episode 9 Recap

As Christmas approaches, Viola asks Duke and Alice about what she could gift to Rob. As suggested by Alice, she decides to give him a handkerchief. On the big day, Viola’s mother summons her and asks to stay with her family for the celebration.

Despite her mother’s request, Viola gets ready to go to the mansion. Walter, who is aware of her plan, dresses himself up as her driver and follows her to the mansion. Meanwhile, Cuff and Zain join Duke for the Christmas celebration.

While Alice and Cuff prepare the Christmas tree, Duke asks Zain to tell Cuff his feelings clearly. Later, Zain compliments Cuff and reveals his feelings, but Cuff falls asleep. 

By this time, Viola also reaches there, and she accidentally drops Rob’s gift while going inside the mansion. Walter picks up the gift and assumes his sister prepared it for their elder brother. He sneaks into the house in the hopes of seeing Duke depressed and alone.

While Walter walks across the empty lobby, he sees Santa’s attire and tries it himself. Coincidentally, Cuff enters at the same time and takes him for real Santa. To avoid any further confusion, Walter plays along and gives her the handkerchief Viola prepared for Rob.

After receiving the gift, Cuff drops him down the chimney, but Walter falls straight into the fireplace and lands in front of Duke. 

Duke is happy to see his younger brother, but Walter instead confronts him about the unfair treatment he receives on a daily basis just because he was born a few minutes after him. Duke, however, excuses himself to settle the fight between Viola and Cuff.

Later, Walter challenges Duke that whoever discovers the cure to his curse first becomes the heir of the family title and leaves the mansion. After the party ends, Alice and Duke take a walk in the snow. Duke remembers the first time he realized his love for Alice.

About The Duke of Death and His Maid

The Duke of Death and His Maid is a 2017 supernatural manga by Koharu Inoue. The manga was serialized on Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry website and finished its run in May 2022.

The story revolves around a young duke named Bocchan who was cursed by a witch in his childhood. His curse can kill anything he touches, making him completely isolated from his loved ones to save their lives. He lives in a mansion on his own but is accompanied by his maid and butler.

He has quite the relationship with his maid Alice and the two grow closer throughout the story.
