He attempts to talk to Victor about it but ends up lying to him about the pregnancy. Jake confides in Kevin, clearly upset that Jemma wants to abort the baby. Kevin tells him he needs to consider Jemma’s needs as her life is at stake, too.

The Chi Season 5 Episode 5 Recap
The episode starts with Jemma telling Jake that she’s pregnant with his child. While Jake is sure he wants to keep the baby, Jemma wants to get an abortion as she feels this isn’t the right time for her to take on the responsibility of raising a child.
Jake tries to talk to Victor about the pregnancy but ends up telling him Jemma isn’t pregnant when Victor asks about it. Simone gets ready for a cosplay event and asks Kevin to join her. While he’s getting ready, Jake comes over and tells him about the pregnancy. Kevin comforts Jake but also reminds him that it’s important for him to consider Jemma’s feelings too.
Emmet almost gets robbed at gunpoint but Shaad recognizes the boy and deescalates the situation. Emmet returns home still shaken up from the experience and Keisha cooks a big meal for poker night. Keisha ends up winning big at the poker game. After everyone leaves, Emmett breaks his celibacy vow and sleeps with Keisha.
