TOHO Animation released two new promotional videos for the currently airing anime adaptation of Saekisan’s The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten light novel series. The promotional videos “Love Story: Mahiru Side” and “Love Story: Amane Side” tell the story from each character’s POV.
Additionally, TOHO released a video for episode 7’s ending theme song, a cover of the “Aiuta” (Love Song) song by the character Mahiru Shiina.
The official website for the anime released a visual for the upcoming seventh episode.
The anime premiered on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and AT-X on January 7, 2023. It stars Taito Ban as Amane Fujimiya, Manaka Iwami as Mahiru Shiina, Taku Yashiro as Itsuki Akasawa, and Haruka Shiraishi as Chitose Shirakawa.
The series is being directed by Lihua Wang at Project No.9, with Kenichi Imaizumi as supervisor. Keiichirō Ōchi is handling the series scripts, and Takayuki Noguchiis adapting Hanekoto‘s original character designs for animation. Moe Hyūgaserves as the music composer.
The series is about Amane, who lives alone, and Mahiru, the most beautiful girl in school, lives next door to him. The two have never spoken until Amane sees her in distress on a rainy day and lends her his umbrella.
To express her gratitude to him, Mahiru offers some held around the house as the two begin to spend more time around each other. A relationship begins to blossom.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsu no Ma ni ka Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) is a light novel series by Saekisan and illustrated by Hanekoto. It started publishing online on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in December 2018 and then by SB Creative in June 2019.
It features a sweet high school love story of neighbors and schoolmates, Amane Fujimiya and Mahiru Shiina. Fujimiya is an average student, while Mahiru is the school’s angel, and fate leads the two to become closer than ever.
