Lizbeth Sargant, Philoemela’s grandmother, is corrupted by the magic book and is trying to kill everyone in hopes of completing the ritual. Ainsworth shields the students from her continuous attacks until suddenly, the werewolf Zoe reaches there. It attacks her, but Lizbeth attacks back. Alcyone guards the werewolf, which results in her death.
Alcyone’s death triggers the hex Adam implanted in her and gives birth to a humanoid identical to Adam Sargant, a manifestation of his hatred. While he fights her, the deity that she summoned absorbs her. Goddess Morrigan appears on the battlefield to help them. Adam’s hex becomes her weapon, and as she distracts the deity Chise, Philomela and the others retrieve the grimoire and prepare to fight it.

No, Season 2 Part 2 of The Ancient Magus’ Bride is not on a break this week. Episode 12 isn’t delayed and will be released on the above-stated date.
2. Episode 12 Speculation
Episode 12 is titled “The show must go on. I”, it might be the last episode for the second part of season 2. We can expect it to show the outcome of the fight against the deity, and as everything goes back to normal, Philomela finds her place among her friends. With Goddess Morrigan by their side, the fight against the deity shouldn’t be too hard.
The preview for Episode 12 was just a bunch of flashbacks from all previous episodes, but we see something suspicious at the beginning of Episode 11. We see Zaccheroni sensei with an unconscious Zoe in someplace that doesn’t seem to be the forest near the Sargant mansion. As he lays down Zoe on the ground, he talks about starting his work. Soon, he’s approached by a mysterious creature. What he is up to still remains unknown.
3. Recap of Episode 11
As episode 11 starts, we see that Philomela’s grandmother, Lizbeth Sargant, has also been corrupted by the magic book. She tries to attack Chise and her friends, but Ainsworth shields them with his powers. She asks Chise why she cares about what happens to Philomela.
We see that even though Chise destroyed the magic circle, the deity Lizbeth summoned didn’t disappear. Ainsworth explains that the circle presents an opportunity; it’s not the means to summon it. Before Lizbeth can attack again, the werewolf from before suddenly jumps at her.
But given that her strength has been amplified through the corruption of the magic book, the werewolf could never defeat her. Just as she attacks it, Alcyone guards it by taking the attack on herself. This fatal attack kills her but triggers the emergency mechanism Adam implanted in her.
A humanoid identical to Adam Sargant appears before everyone. Before Alcyone’s body completely disintegrates, she hands Philoimela the “Record” of her memories. After receiving those memories, Philomela mistakes the humanoid figure for her dad.
He explains that he isn’t Adam, but he is the physical form of Adam’s hatred towards the one who tries to harm his daughter, a shadow of the past. He is akin to a curse that Adam implanted in Alcyone, and now his duty is to destroy Lizbeth Sargant, as she’s the one who poses a mortal threat to Philomela.
He quickly starts to overpower her since, as he’s a hex, Lizbeth can’t even touch him, but he can do all sorts of things to her. Before he can end her, though, the deity grabs her body and absorbs her along with the book. Adam tries to retrieve her to fulfill his duty, but the werewolf jumps at the deity with the same goal.
The deity impales it with its vines, and when it seemed like the werewolf would die too, goddess Morrigan arrives there, saving it. As the hex ignored her and tried to fight the deity himself, Morrigan proposes that he become her spear and fight alongside her. Adam’s hex accepts her offer.
As Morrigan keeps the deity distracted, Chise and the others figure out that she cannot send it back since it was summoned by a human. It has to be done by Philomela, as the magic book still recognizes her as the user. With Ainsworth’s help, the group retrieves the grimoire, and with everyone’s combined mana, they prepare to fight the creature.
