Episode 9 Speculation
Episode 9 of Heavenly Delusion might give more explanation about the parallels that exist between the outside world and the facility. Tokio seems to parallel Maru, while Mimihime and Shiro parallel Usami and the girl who died. A theory states the parallel between Mimihime and Hoshio because of her premonitions and the color of her eyes.
Usami holds a pin of the same crest as Kiruko’s gun, which might mean he was the one that made it. When Usami dies, Mimihime has a dream where Shiro joins her, making it possible that Usami and Hoshio are adult versions of Mimhime and Shiro.

Episode 8 Recap
Maru and Kiruko walk into the office of Dr. Usami. There were a lot of injured patients with metal prosthetic limbs. They soon arrived at the ward where the patient who had frightened Mizuhashi was housed. Maru and Kiruko were horrified to see a woman who had been sliced into bits and hooked to various machinery.
Usami continued by saying that Maru had to murder this individual. The two were astonished by this and inquired of him as to whether humans could also be man-eaters. A person who contracts a disease eventually turns into a man-eater after dying as a human.
When Liviuman heard him say that their leader had died, he decided to assault the Immortal Order. One of the group members also killed someone as a result of this.
Maru, Kiruko, and Usami show the sky for the last time to Hoshio, after which Maru kills her. Hoshio thanks Usami and tells him she loves him as she passes away.
The members of the Immortal Order escaped the structure and ran across Dr. Usami on the street. He disclosed that Hoshio had passed away naturally. Then he told his supporters to travel to a neighboring town and wait for him there.
When Kiruko enquired about Robin, they knew him because he had collaborated with Dr. Usami. She was so relieved that Robin was still alive. Usami continued their time together on the roof since he knew how much she adored Hoshio. Unfortunately, while holding Hoshio in his arms, he shot himself in the head. Mimihime dreams of a dark place, where Ushio eventually joins her.
Usami’s body was discovered on the roof by Maru and Kiruko. Maru was highly agitated and emotional. He explained to Kiruko that since his hands could only bring death, he differed significantly from Robin and Usami. Usami is shown holding onto a pin with the same crest as Kiruko’s weapon.
About Heavenly Delusion
Heavenly Delusion is a manga series by Masakazu Ishiguro. It was launched in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine in January 2018. Studio Production I.G. has confirmed its anime adaptation.
The series shows a school where kids are raised by robots and are walled in from what they think is “hell.” The outside world has gone though a calamity and has super-natural beings.
On the other hand, two teenagers can also be seen wandering around in this wasteland trying to find “heaven” on Earth.
