Who will be the main villain in Tale of the Nine-Tailed season 2?

Tale of the Nine-Tailed is a thrilling Korean drama series that follows the adventures of Lee Yeon, a nine-tailed fox (gumiho), and Nam Ji Ah, a fearless human TV producer who investigates supernatural phenomena.

According to the official synopsis, Lee Yeon gets involved in an unexpected case that leads him to travel back to 1938. 

There, he meets Ryu Hong Joo again, who was once a guardian spirit of a mountain in the west. However, she has become the owner of the best high-end restaurant Myoyeongak in the capital city of Gyeongseong. 

Fate gives Ryu Hong a new chance as she meets Lee Yeon for the second time after an unfortunate first encounter. Lee Yeon also meets his younger brother Lee Rang. 

Meanwhile, Cheon Moo Young used to be a guardian spirit and ex-friend of Lee Yeon, but he has become hostile.

Cheon Moo Young is the sinister villain of the story. Young was a guardian spirit of a mountain in the east. He was friends with Lee Yeon earlier, but an incident turned them enemies. The trailer and promotional material suggest that Young is the main villain in this season.

Cheon Moo Young betrayed Lee Yeon and Ryu Hong Joo, and he became a doctor who could resurrect the dead.

The exact details of their strife have not been disclosed yet, but it is related to their abilities and responsibilities as mountain gods. Watch season 2 to know more about their strained relationship!

Tale of the Nine Tailed is a South-Korean fantasy television drama starring Lee Dong-wook, Jo Bo-ah and Kim Bum. It aired on TvN from 7th October, 2020 to 3rd December, 2020.
