On December 15, the official website for the anime adaptation of Nozomu Koryu’s Sweet Reincarnation light novel series released a new promotional video and teaser visual for the upcoming anime.
The promotional video revealed the anime’s cast, staff and July 2023 premiere date.
The cast for the anime includes Ayumu Murase as Pastry Mill Morteln, Natsumi Fujiwara as Marcarlo Doroba, Maaya Uchida as Luminito Aidilichpa, and Kaede Hondo as Licorice Mille Huberlek.
The anime is being directed by Naoyuki Kuzuya at Synergy SP, in collaboration with Studio Comet. Mitsutaka Hirota is the scriptwriter and supervisor. Tomoko Miyakawa is designing the characters, and Hiroshi Nakamura is composing the music.
The light novels are about a nine-year-old named Pastry Mille Morteln, who is the heir to his father’s fortune and also the reincarnation of an unfulfilled pastry chef.
Although he often dreams of baking pastries and sweet treats all day, he has to learn how to fight and defend his village from bandits.
Koryu launched the original novel series in February 2015 on the website Shōsetsu ni Narō. The manga adaptation for the series was launched in December 2017 in the Comic Corona section of the Nico Nico Seiga service.
