S.W.A.T Season 5 Episode 8 Recap
The team responds to de-escalating an armed man in a liquor store. The injured store owner later tells them about what happened. A young woman had come in and asked if she could hide in the bathroom. She was extremely scared and couldn’t speak any English. She’s later kidnapped by the armed men.
The man in custody does not give them any clues so they try to run the woman’s face through facial recognition software. It turns out that she is an undocumented woman. Luca is able to talk to some contacts and find out her identity. The woman’s name is Jenni Moreno and she was fleeing a dangerous situation in Honduras. She had been staying at a home for immigrant women.
The woman who was in charge of the home told them Jenni had been kidnapped by a gang and forced to work as a drug mule. She’d managed to escape them and come to the US for a fresh start. The gang is later identified as the “Central Rebels.” Deacon and Chris get into an argument because of the way he handled the questioning.
The team collaborates with Marcos, and Chris goes undercover to rescue Jenni. ICE shows up to their meeting to recover Jenni and foils the original plan. Chris lets Jenni escape and drops her back to the safe house.
