The Demonic Kingdom is nearly handed over to the true mastermind behind the war in episode 4 of Summoned to Another World for a Second Time, titled “Receiving a Gift for a Second Time.”

With Terran pulling multiple strings and schemes to take control of the Demon Kingdom by manipulating a vulnerable Dezastol, Setsu finally comes in to save the day. Interrupting a marriage festival provides a perfect entrance for the hero to announce his return.

Bringing back the repaired brooch that symbolizes his leaving and abandonment of the realm, Dezastol is reassured that Setsu is back and ready to bring peace once more.

1. Episode 5 Speculation: 

Dezastol no longer has to get married to Terran, and the power of the Demonic Kingdom remains in her hands, meaning that they are one step closer to peace, considering that the fight between Distinia and the Demonic Kingdom should soon be cleared up.

The Beastmen are next as Setsu moves to talk with Regulus, who may be more challenging to convince than Dezas, considering she is already in love with Setsu and has been awaiting his return for well over five years now.

3. Recap of Episode 4:

Setsu recalls the incident five years in the past when he recognized his powerlessness in the world and decided to take control as a ruler and bring an end to the endless war and violence. Settled by a final battle with the Demon Lord, he brings peace to everyone.

Dezastol had taken Setsu’s words to her heart and abided by her promise for a long time. The brooch she had, was given to her by Setsu and had broken into pieces around the same time that Setsu had returned to the original world. 

While missing, the demon lord received a message that the Justinian army had attacked their forces again. Dezastol tries her best not to jump to conclusions and stay by her promise not to wage war once more and even reaches out to Distinia for communication.

Terran requests an audience of the Demon Lord, and she accepts, considering his reputation. He proposes an offer to end the war with Distinia with the power of his company and wealth in exchange for Dezastol’s hand in marriage.

He presents a necklace with a curse of servitude attached and leaves Dezastol to consider his offer. She feels guilty about breaking the promise to Setsu and is serious about the request from Terran if it is the only way to stop the war.

However, Terran is not the true mastermind behind the scheme but is merely another pawn of a more significant player orchestrating the events. In exchange, he gets to marry Dezas and provides control of the Demonic Kingdom to his master.

The marriage nearly goes through, and the necklace is almost put on, as a massive blast through the glass brings Setsu in to save her from Terran. His backup comes in to attack Setsu, but Levia enters at the right time to hold them off, and Setsu fights by himself.

He cannot kill the hooded shadow user who spars with him for a bit before leaving to notify his master. Setsu decides to move on to the next step of his plan: to contact Regulus, the ruler of the Beastmen, and get their aid.

Before leaving, however, he brings back the repaired brooch and hangs it on her neck, reassuring Dezastol once more after five years.

Summoned To Another World For A Second Time (Isekai Shoukan wa Nidome desu) is a harem-comedy light novel, written by Kazuha Kishimoto. It began publishing online on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2015.

The story features a typical isekai protagonist summoned to another world where he becomes a famous hero. The real story starts when a mishap lands the hero back in his original world where he was nothing but a lame high-schooler, and on top of that, he has to begin his life again as a baby.
