Complete A LASO Run of Halo 2 Anniversary W/0 Deaths and Get $20k!

Halo players are familiar with “LASO,” short for Legendary All Skulls On. It refers to finishing a Halo campaign in the most challenging mode– Legendary, with the Skulls effects, turned on. The campaigns are tough enough but add a few more levels of difficulty, and you have a very intense (and frustrating) mission for yourself.

Twitch streamer @Cr1tikal is offering $20,000 to the first player who finishes an entire LASO run of Halo 2 Anniversary with zero deaths.

Halo 2

Halo 2 is considered the most difficult Legendary campaign in the Halo series. The playthrough is so brutal that even $20K is inadequate.

Cr1tikal had initially announced the challenge a few weeks ago; the reward was $5,000 back then. As there were no takers, he increased the prize 4x to up the stakes. The streamer failed at the challenge and only managed to reach the second room of the first mission.

Apparently, a LASO run like this has only been done once. Since the Envy Skull was also enabled, it turned Master Chief invisible. So, to really challenge players, Cr1tikal is adamant about players turning off that specific skull.

Skulls can drastically change one’s gameplay. The effects can increase enemy hostility, make enemies permanently concealed, irregularly recharging the shield, and more. It’ll be a wonder if anyone actually manages to complete the challenge.
