Steam Remote Play Together to Now Let You Play with Those Without Steam

The latest beta of Steam Remote Play Together has received a spectacular feature. You can now play local co-op online games with all those pals who don’t have a Steam account. All your friends have to is download an app.

For the unaware, Steam Remote Play Together is a feature that lets users play local co-op games online with those who don’t own the game. Its only disadvantage was that it was necessary for the parties to have a Steam account. Without it, people were unable to reap the fruits of this feature.

Now this feature has been tweaked. You can grind on games with that lazy friend who never bothered to create an account on Steam.

Steam Remote Play Together

In order to invite players, you will have to launch the Remote Play Together game and generate a link from your friends list in Steam Overlay. Share it with your companion via any platform. This way, the receiver will be able to install the Steam Link app onto their device and play with you.

It must be kept in mind that only one person without a steam account can be invited without the link. Therefore, your other friends will have to rely on their Steam accounts to join your game.

Even with this limitation, I think Steam Remote Play Together is a testament to the fact that technology is ever-evolving. They way it turns a local multiplayer game to an online multiplayer game deserves applauds.

This move by Steam will help you connect and enjoy playing games with all those close ones who still own ancient technological devices.
