Tallinn

Tallinn deduces that Picard’s mind is a dark place with painful memories of the past stemming from a troubled childhood. Tallinn finds Picard’s projection of himself as a young boy and tries to guide him back to a clearer state of mind. While the two explore his mind together, it is revealed that Picard witnessed his father’s abusive treatment of his mother and she had manic episodes that led to her being institutionalized while Picard was still a child. Picard awakens after this, and Tallinn realizes there’s far more left to be uncovered.

Picard reaches out to Guinan for help again. Meanwhile, Raffi and Seven of Nine return to the ship only to find that the systems have been compromised by the Borg Queen. The Borg Queen ended up taking complete control over Jurati’s body over the course of the gala and is now attempting to assimilate into her body completely. To make matters worse, Picard and Guinan are apprehended by the police as there is security footage of Picard teleporting into the city.
