At the Gala, Raffi notices that Rios seems to have a soft spot for Dr. Ramirez, and advises him against pursuing a romance in a different timeline. Meanwhile, Renee seems to be getting increasingly anxious about her impending space travel. Picard decides to speak to Renee himself but gets intercepted by Soong, who is working in cahoots with Q as he’s desperate to find a cure to his daughter’s mysterious terminal illness. Soong is a major donor at the event, and in order to combat any hurdles placed by him, the Queen and Jurati decide to work together.
