Burnham & Team Lost in Subspace in New Star Trek: Discovery Clip

Star Trek: Discovery season 4 continues with its episode 6, titled Stormy Weather, coming out this week on December 23.

Ahead of the premiere, Star Trek released some promo stills from the episode with its synopsis foretelling that the U.S.S. Discovery will be “seeking answers” and set out into a subspace rift created by the Dark Matter Anomaly.

Now Screen Rant has released an exclusive preview clip that also focuses on Michael Burnham declaring, “We Need Answers.”

The clip shows the ship trapped in subspace as the crew discusses that the DOT they set out was “eaten.” Adira Tal suggests that the DMA might’ve changed the subspace and turned it toxic.

Burnham gives the team a tiny pep-talk where she says they will get the necessary answers with or without sensor data and declares a red alert.

In last week’s episode, Discovery’s crew concluded that the DMA is a huge device sent through a wormhole into the Alpha Quadrant by an enemy named Unknown Species 10C.

Stormy Weather will see the USS Discovery enter the subspace rift, left behind by the DMA when it destroys an asteroid colony, to learn more about the DMA.

Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Jonathan Frakes will return to direct Stormy Weather, with a script by Anne Cofell Saunders and Brandon Schultz.

Star Trek: Discovery premieres new episodes on Thursdays on Paramount+ in the U.S.
