Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 Episode 10 Recap
The episode picks up from the aftermath of Tarka firing the device to destroy the anomaly, that had now been replaced by a new one. Starfleet prepares to make first contact with Species 10C, and the analysis of the new dark matter anomaly reveals that it’s more powerful than the previous one. President Rillak insists on being in attendance for this meeting, considering her diplomatic background.
Book is prepared to leave Tarka, especially after he went against him in firing the weapon, but Tarka convinces him to stay on and help him to acquire programmable antimatter so they can make their own journey to make contact with Species 10C.
Meanwhile, while the Discovery is planning to emerge from the galaxy, Rillak shares a classified message from Admiral Vance with Burnham – the anomaly is headed straight for the Alpha quadrant. This puts Earth and Ni’Var at risk of being destroyed, making the success of their mission even more crucial.
Book and Tarka arrive at the site of an Emerald Chain work camp. They acquire the antimatter and start making their own preparations to make contact with Species 10C. The Discovery emerges from the milky way galaxy and Rillak and Burnham decide to share the news of the anomaly’s new path with the rest of the crew.
