Spy x Family Episode 18: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Anya helps Damian make his project in episode 17 of Spy x Family, titled “Carry Out the Griffin Plan Fullmetal Lady Omelet Rice.”

It was quite an ordinary episode, with some laughs here and there. Anya’s desperate attempts to get Damian’s attention are hilarious. We got into the life of Damian and felt bad for the poor boy who doesn’t get his father’s attention no matter how hard he tries.

The last ten minutes of the show were quite unnecessary. We saw how Sylvia and Loid carry out their meeting, but it added nothing to the main story. It was an attempt to show how those who are supposed to be perfect can still make mistakes like ordinary people.

The next episode will be a fun encounter between Yuri and Anya. It looks like we will get some plot progression in the next episode. Anya might try to get Damian’s attention again.

Not much can be said about what will happen in the next episode. Loid might get involved in another mission, and Yor will try her hands at cooking again. I can’t be sure, so we can just wait and watch.

Episode 17 Recap

Anya has devised another plan to get Damian’s attention. She asked her father to take another family picture with Bond included this time. She is going to shock Damian by showing him the photo.

However, her plan fails, and Damian completely ignores the photo. Becky sees the photo and completely falls for Loid. She keeps the photo to herself.

During the art and craft class, Damian and Anya end up in the same group. They have to make an animal out of paper and other provided materials. Becky makes Loid out of her material.

When the teacher objects, she replies that people are animals too. The teacher accepts her argument and lets it slide this time. She still decides to redo it because it is rude to call someone like Loid an animal.

Damian is creating the griffin in his family crest. He thinks that if the griffin turns out good, he will get appreciation from his father. Anya reads his mind and decides to help him make the griffin. With this help, Damian’s father will get ready to meet his parents.

Damian accepts her proposal to help. However, Anya isn’t able to provide much help. Damian gets frustrated and yells at everyone. He gets scolded for not being a gentleman.

He somehow manages to make something out of the remaining material. Anya offers her craft to him. His griffin later wins a gold medal. Anya thinks that he will show the craft to his father, which he completely denies. Thus, the griffin plan fails as well.

He talks to someone from his home and asks about his father. He knows when the person he is talking to is lying and also knows that his father doesn’t care about him.

Sylvia Sherwood is also known as Fullmetal Lady because of her imposing appearance. She is getting followed by agents, but she easily deceits them and goes out to meet Loid.

Loid notices that she hasn’t removed the price tag of her newly bought jacket, but he can’t point that out. The narrator describes how these two carry out their meetings.

Sylvia asks him about Operation Strix. Loid tells her that Anya can jump five times in a row, leaving Sylvia confused.

After the credits, we get to see how Yuri had to eat Yor’s tasteless food every day and pretend that it tasted good. All that bad food led to Yuri having a strong body.

Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.

The story follows a spy who has to “build a family” to execute a mission, not realizing that the girl he adopts as a daughter and the woman he agrees to be in a fake marriage with are a mind reader and an assassin respectively.
