Every year, Anime NYC brings us loads of exciting announcements, and this time, it surpassed all our expectations.
Along with some thrilling panels and dope cosplays, the anime convention had some excellent news for weebs all around the globe.
As we all know, the Spy x Family anime has officially been announced, and it made the entire otaku community go crazy over it.
So what happens when an entity like Crunchyroll makes an announcement related to one of the most anticipated anime of the year?
Crunchyroll unveiled an English subtitled trailer for the upcoming Spy x Family anime slated for a 2022 premiere at the Anime NYC event. The company also announced that it would be streaming the show on its platform.
The trailer starts slow but picks up an upbeat pace as the action begins. It gives us a glimpse of Tatsuya Endo’s sensational story that is being made into an anime.
A monologue by the protagonist, a spy named Loid Forger, plays in the background, explaining how everyone has a side that they can’t reveal even to their families.
Loid refers to the fake family he created for a mission in which every member has a controversial secret they can’t tell others.
For instance, Loid is a top-grade spy, his fake wife is a professional assassin, and his fake daughter is a telepath and the only one who knows the truth about everyone.
Put them all in a mix with hilariously timed situations and a few more eccentric characters, and you’ll have a tale that caters to all kinds of people.
As if I wasn’t already excited about the upcoming anime, the trailer made me even more restless for the release.
Please give us a premiere date already!
