Venom 3 Is Happening, but Will Eddie Appear in NWH Before That?

2021 is the year of Sony Pictures.

Hot on the heels of the success of Venom: Let There Be Carnage and probably already celebrating all the box-office records Spider-Man: No Way Home is about to break, the studio has no intentions of stopping anytime soon.

While talking to Collider, producer Amy Pascal revealed that Venom 3 is currently in the early planning stages,

We are in the planning stages right now, but what we are focused on is getting everybody to come and see No Way Home.

Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: No Way Home can easily be considered this year’s biggest cinematic event. It is obvious the studio would want to focus on the film but what’s also interesting is to see how/if the story will bring Venom to the MCU.

With Venom 2’s end-credit scene hinting at a crossover, who knows which universe/reality Eddie and his symbiote will end up in next.

The box-office sales of Venom: Let There Be Carnage crossed $200 million in the US and Canada and $430M worldwide, making the possibility of a third film quite obvious.

While talking about NWH, Pascal mentioned that the final moments of Far From Home would be the starting point of the Spider-verse as Peter is not at all pleased with his “two worlds colliding,” exactly what the first trailer depicted.

When asked about how long the plans for adding Venom to the MCU have been in discussion, Pascal said that Sony, Marvel, and specifically the “Spider-verse” films have to work in sync to be able to do that,

We’re all very careful to work with each other in a way that’s additive for everybody.

Although Pascal’s answers were way too ambiguous and did not reveal much more than what we already know, all of the mysteries will be solved when Spider-Man: No Way Home comes out.

Now that Spidey has made his way into the post-credit scene of Venom 2, it is only fair for the symbiote to pay him a visit as well. So, make sure to stick around till the cinema screen goes pitch-black.

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in cinemas on December 17, but if you haven’t already booked the tickets, the wait might be longer than an eternity.
