Episode 4 of ‘Solo Leveling’ is titled “A Pretty Good Deal.” After being discharged from the hospital, Sung searches for Hunter missions to get some quick cash.

Sung discovers an extremely good deal in a C-Rank dungeon where he is called to fill the quota. Dongsuk, the party leader, tells Sung to carry their equipment as a non-combatant. The party does not have any healers, which makes Sung suspicious.

As Sung and Yoo walk through the dungeon, they fight through packs of insect-type monsters. However, the boss battle is yet to come.

I. Is Solo Leveling on a Break?

‘Solo Leveling’ is not on a break this week. Episode 6 has not been delayed and will be released on the above-stated date.

2. Episode 6 Speculation

Sung and Yoo have discovered the dark side of the Hunter Association after being betrayed by Dongsuk and his crew. Luckily, Sung is a heavily mis-ranked hunter who can easily defeat this boss himself. The real issue is the aftermath of the battle and the reward distribution.

The dungeon will close once Sung defeats the boss, and everyone will be forced outside. Hopefully, Sung will get all the rewards of the boss battle and can split them with just Yoo. However, the contract may stipulate that the battle earnings are split seven ways with Dongsuk instead.

Sung may have to get involved with the Hunter Association to report Dongsuk’s crime. That path also creates the issue of the Hunter Association questioning how Sung defeated a C-rank boss alone as an E-rank hunter. Regardless of Sung’s path, he must deal with unlucky consequences.

3. Recap of Episode 5

The nurses at the hospital gossip about Sung Jinwoo’s impressive physique while he works out. Sung has made a lot of progress during his recovery and gained a lot of muscle. One of the nurses asks Sung for his number, but he isn’t used to being flirted with.

In the morning news, Baek broadcasts an interview on his life as an S-Rank hunter. Sung still has points left over to assign and thinks about what stat to upgrade. Sung gets a call from his landlord about rent and starts searching for missions to get.

Sung doesn’t want to make the Association suspicious after seeing his sudden strength growth. Therefore, Sung joins a C-rank party as a non-combatant to get some money. Jinwoo and the squad enter the gate and notice that the dungeon is pitch-black.

Jinwoo feels the presence of multiple insect-type monsters surrounding them. A horde of beasts attack from above, and the party takes formation. Jinwoo watches while the team handles all the monsters with perfect coordination. Jinho keeps up because of his expensive gear.

Jinwoo feels the presence of some other stronger monsters in the same dungeon. As Jinwoo walks through the dungeon tunnels, something starts feeling off about this mission—a battle-tested party without a healer that needed extra members to meet the quota.

The party finds a massive haul of mana crystals in the cave. The group must mine and haul the crystals before defeating the boss, which will close the dungeon. Dongsuk leaves Yoo and Sung alone with the boss as he needs to collect some extra equipment. Yoo worries about the boss waking up, but Dongsuk tells him to trust the leader.

Sung knows a C-rank dungeon needs eight members, and Dongsuk’s team only has six people. Regularly needing people to fill the quota and not knowing any healers in a C-rank team is highly suspicious. Dongsuk’s team leaves the chamber and seals off the door, intending to kill Yoo and Sung for a bigger split.

Jinwoo tells Jinho not to move and leave the boss to him. After all the bosses Jinwoo has faced, this spider is next to nothing. Jinwoo removes his poison dagger from the inventory and prepares to clear the boss fight.
