2. Episode 4 Speculation
Sung has now started his training arc after unlocking the Secret Player quest. Since Sung has felt powerless his entire life, he will dedicate all ability points to strength. However, Sung must first survive this Instance dungeon to continue leveling up. Over time, Sung may become one of the strongest hunters because of his leveling ability. The Hunter Association may be suspicious of his increasing strength and pose a future problem.
Although Sung managed to barely kill the goblins, he may not be able to fight the Lycan. The Lycan howled right before attacking, so more of the pack may be coming. Sung will hopefully be able to counter its oncoming attack and survive a while longer. The first step for Sung is to overcome his trauma of the dungeon and continue evading attacks like he did for the goblins.
The game may give Sung another reward or help to beat the monsters. In a videogame, a player can usually respawn after dying. Therefore, the possibility of Sung being immortal is also there. Since Sung survived the first dungeon event after being killed, he could be immortal now.
3. Recap of Episode 3
Sung wakes up in a hospital bed after seeing multiple visions of his final moments. Sung’s wounds are healed, leaving him very confused and thinking the incident was a dream. Two agents enter the room and say that Sung has been unconscious for three days.
The White Tiger Guild had discovered only Sung’s body, with no trace of the dungeon. The two ask Sung whether he received a second awakening. Sung puts his hand on a measuring device, showing only a score below E-Rank.
Sung can see a notification panel with no new messages. Jinah walks into the hospital room, scolding him for worrying her. Sung’s message board shows a daily quest with push-ups, sit-ups, and other basic exercises. Cha is asked to participate in a B-rank raid as a mentor for the recruits.
At night, another gate opens up in the middle of the road. Sung’s quest fails as the clock strikes midnight. Sung gets transported to an alternate world where a colossal centipede monster attacks him. The notification board shows a countdown timer for how long he has to survive. Sung runs for 3 hours straight and manages to live through the penalty.
The following day, Sung leaves the hospital to go running. Joohee brings a basket of flowers to the hospital. Sung has learned much about the leveling system and quests from the notification board. The final daily quest reward is a random box that gives Sung a mysterious key.
The news reports over the day contain the current active gates and roadblocks. Sung had worked hard every day for his mom’s treatment. However, Sung’s lack of strength made him incapable of contributing as much as other hunters. Therefore, Sung chooses to put all his ability points in strength.
Sung uses the key on a wall and enters the Instance dungeon. Since Sung has no party, so he must clear the dungeon alone with just his knife. A horde of goblins appear and swing at Sung, who barely avoids their attacks. Sung slowly gains confidence as he defeats all three goblins.
A Lycan appears from behind, moving much faster than the goblins. Fear makes Sung’s legs stuck in place, making him an easy target. As the Lycan jumps onto Sung, his last moments at the dungeon flash through his eyes.
