2. Episode 3 Speculation

In the next episode, Sung will discover his newfound abilities as a Player. The final scene offers Sung as a sacrifice as he unlocks a secret quest. Sung has accepted his role as a Player, which will likely give him multiple power-ups and new abilities.

The other members who exited the dungeon may or may not have survived. The most likely conclusion is that they all died since Sung said it was a test of faith. Everyone who left the dungeon proved that they did not have faith in God and likely died outside the door.

Regardless, the next episode will be focused on Sung as he discovers his new abilities as a Player. If other Players exist in the world, they can help Sung, too.

3. Recap of Episode 2

Sung’s party starts dying one by one, and Song realizes Sung has figured something out. Joohee is panicking and incapacitated, leaving only Song and Sung to figure out how to survive. Song reads the inscription as a poem to God, which may refer to the statue.

Song says that they should try to find a way out of the dungeon instead of attempting to fight the statue. Sung figures out that the dungeon requires the hunters to revere God. The party kneels to the statue, and it begins smiling.

The statue then gets up and begins walking toward the party. One of their party members begins chanting a generic prayer but gets stepped on. Sung and the other party members split up around the dungeon. Each party member starts getting chopped individually, except the people near the statues with instruments.

Sung starts sprinting across the dungeon but gets caught under a statue with a shield. Although his legs get hit, Sung desperately continues crawling towards a singer. Joohee tries to heal Sung’s leg, but the injury is too severe. Sung realizes there is still one more commandment left: they must offer a sacrifice to God.

The other party members begin forcing Song to offer himself as a sacrifice. Sung asks to inspect the altar, and the others drag himself near it. Meanwhile, Sung’s sister visits their sick mother in the hospital. Sung tells all the party members to approach the altar, and a circle of flames lights up.

The statues begin walking toward the centre of the dungeon. Everyone must keep their eyes on the statues to prevent them from moving. The door is slightly open, and some of their members start running out. Sung realizes it’s just a trap to test their faith in God. However, multiple members fall into the trap and run out of the door.

Song asks Joohee and Sung to leave the dungeon and leave him to die. Sung says that he can’t escape with his broken leg. Sung asks Song to carry Joohee out of the dungeon. In the end, Sung is the last one remaining at the altar as he wields his sword against the statues but gets knocked around.

In the end, Sung’s bloody body lies on top of the altar as he wishes he got one more chance. Right before the light goes out and Sung dies, a notification says he has unlocked a secret quest.
