Season 2 of the Solo Leveling manhwa is moving forward with the Necromancer arc from the light novel.
For those of you who don’t know much about it, without spoiling much for you guys, let me just say that we will finally get to know more about Sung Jin-Woo’s mysterious abilities and the ‘system’ which helps the hunter do so.
Pretty cool, right? Trust me; you have no idea! In the recent chapters, we saw that Sung Jin-Woo has decided to create his guild – the Ahjin guild and the appearance of the mysterious S-ranked dungeon in Japan.
The way Chapter 122 ended, there are a very few things that could happen in the next chapter – while Jin-Woo wants to visit the temple, he will likely end up participating in the S-ranked dungeon raid.
1. Chapter 124 Predictions and Speculation
Solo Leveling season 2 began with the Necromancer arc from the light novel. It’s a light novel manhwa, so there is an anticipation that it will showcase the storyline of National-Level Hunters and the true identity of the ‘system.’
As for the next chapter, there are a couple of things that could happen or be revealed. Let’s begin the discussion.
I. What is Monarch?
Disclaimer: This section will be full of spoilers if you don’t want any skip to heading 2, “What did the lady see in Woo?”
Monarchs in Solo Leveling are god level beings who are in favor of destroying the planets and bringing chaos under the reign of Supreme God aka the Absolute Being.
They are opposed by the eight rulers who wish to bring peace under the reign of Absolute Being.
The former ruler and monarch, Ashborn aka the King of Dead was a god-level Shadow Monarch and the ruler of the undead army. He is shown to have some sort of connection with Sung Jin-Woo which was later fully revealed in the light novel.
II. What Did The Lady See in Woo?
We are yet to understand what the lady saw that made her so fearful. She likely saw the system’s true identity – the mysterious Shadow Monarch, Ashborn.

2. Chapter 124 Release Date
124 of the Solo Leveling manhwa webtoon’s season 2 will be available to buy on October 22 and will be available for free on November 12.
In the next chapter, we will see whether Jin-Woo goes to the temple or participates in the S-ranked raid..

The chapter starts in Japan – Shortsword and all the other guilds have been gathered at the council to discuss the S-ranked gate that has appeared in the middle of Tokyo.
To defeat an S-ranked gate, one would need National Level hunters such as Thomas Andre, but Japan doesn’t have the money to buy his services.
Shortsword guild master Sugimoto comes up with a plan to hire the best S-ranked support-type hunter, Arlov, and goes to meet him.
Back in Korea, Jin-Woo is thinking about whether he should participate in the S-ranked raid or go see the temple now that he’s level 101.
6. About Solo Leveling
Solo Leveling is a South Korean novel written by Chu-Gong; it was serialized in Papyrus and later in KakaoPage and concluded with 14 volumes and 270 chapters.
Since a portal connecting our world to a world full of monsters and creatures of all kinds appeared, some people have acquired powers and hunt them: they are called hunters.
Sung Jin-Woo is the weakest of the rank E hunters and barely stronger than a normal human.
One day, he and other hunters find themselves trapped in an extremely dangerous dungeon, and only a few of them survive and manage to escape.
Sung Jin-Woo himself hardly survives and is the only one who completes all the trials in this dungeon. Thus, he begins his journey of becoming the most powerful hunter!
