Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 5 Recap
The episode begins with Zarah writing a letter for her unborn child. The community comes together for the naming ceremony as part of their tradition. Alex stays by Wilford’s side as he is on suspension drugs. Audrey tries to sneak in to see him but she’s sent back as she has been restricted to Third Class as part of her punishment.
Meanwhile, Josie is beginning to experience more numbness throughout her body as an after-effect of the cold treatment. Zarah goes into labor and despite some complications, gives birth to a baby girl they name Liana. A series of attacks that grow in severity occur and it is clear that the target is Layton. Right before the explosion in Ag-Sec, it is revealed that it was Pike who planned the attacks.
Ben instructs Sykes to work with Javi on engineering new life support systems for the new colony. Javi isn’t thrilled at the idea of having someone watch over him but warms up to Sykes when she tells him about her experience with Wilford’s wrath. The two of them share a trauma that bonds them together. Josie and Ben open up to each other about their losses and end up sleeping together.
