The Best Alliance Map Order – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Quest Guide

Making friends and joining alliances is a big part of Eivor’s journey in AC Valhalla. The ultimate fight with King Alfred in England will prove to be a tough battle to win if Eivor does not have the support of friends and a big garrison of soldiers willing to fight for victory.

However, there seems to be a certain doubt among the players regarding the Alliance Map order in the game. While some players love to follow the order as the game suggests, some tend to wing it, which brings the question of the correct Alliance Map order in mind. What’s the correct order? Or is there even such a thing as the correct order?

Players should follow the Alliance Map order in AC Valhalla and pledge loyalty to the areas according to their suggested power levels for the best experience.

If you do not follow the Alliance Map order, you might lose some important information about the game’s ending and miss out on the opportunity to get the true ending

1. What is the best Alliance Map Order to follow in AC Valhalla?

The best alliance map order to follow in AC Valhalla is:

  1. Ledecestrescire
  2. Grantebridgescire
  3. East Anglia
  4. Oxenefordscire
  5. Sciropcire
  6. Cent
  7. Essexe
  8. Lincolnscire
  9. Suthsexe
  10. Jorvik
  11. Vinland
  12. Eurvicscire
  13. Glowestrescire
  14. Wincestre
  15. Snotinghamscire
  16. Norway
  17. Hamtunscire

Basically, you should just pledge the areas as suggested by their power levels. You can pledge the areas with the same power levels in any format you want. It won’t matter if you do them out of order. Just remember to do the main ones as suggested.

You can also start with Grantebridgescire and continue with Ledecestrescire and follow along with the map order. Keep in mind, Lunden might be of a higher power level than Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire, so pledge to that area when you have sufficient power level.

Choosing Grantebridgescire will take Eivor to experience the “The Song of Soma” arc with “The Great Scattered Army” as the starting quest, while choosing Ledecestrescire will let Eivor experience The Kingmaker’s Saga arc with “The Sons of Ragnar” as the starting quest.

2. Do I have to make all alliances in AC Valhalla?

Players have to make all the alliances and complete all the related quests in AC Valhalla to finish the game. The game’s story progress as you complete each alliance quest.

Missing even one of the alliance missions will leave you stuck in the middle of the story. So, for the most efficient results, follow the order of the alliance quests given above.

3. Can you pledge multiple alliances in AC Valhalla?

Players cannot pledge multiple alliances simultaneously in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Pledging alliance to a region unlocks a specific quest line, which must be completed before moving onto another one.

If you have doubts about the alliance that you have pledged on the map, talk to Randvi again to change the region.

4. When should I do Vinland in AC Valhalla?

Vinland region questline can be completed right after it unlocks in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It has no suggested power level, but you should be at least level 90 to go for Vinland.

Vinland unlocks after completing the Lunden storyline, which has a suggested power level of 90. I recommend you not to rush it and go for it only after you can easily cruise through the Lunden region.

5. How to unlock Vinland in AC Valhalla?

To unlock Vinland in AC Valhalla:

  1. Complete the Lunden storyline;
  2. Build the Hidden Ones Bureau in your Ravensthorpe settlement; and
  3. Kill 6 specific order members:
  • Sister Frideswid, The Leech;
  • Avges Spearhand, The Arrow;
  • Vicelin, The Compass;
  • Leofgifu;
  • Hunta, The Baldric; and
  • Gorm Kjotvesson, The Keel

You can complete these steps in any order you like, but these are the necessary pre-requisites to unlock the Vinland region on the alliance map. Once it is unlocked, you can directly go for this region or follow the recommended order and do it after completing the Jorvik story arc.

Ultimately, for the best AC Valhalla experience without getting stuck in an endgame region with a “wooden sword”, it is best to follow the alliance map order, which shows the suggested power levels.
