Episode 8 Recap
Kidou recalls how he felt betrayed by all ninjas when Kishinmaru was given the authority to lead the Koga clan because of his ill health. Genji declared the Iga ninjas responsible at NSC headquarters. The following day was set aside for Yumika’s execution.
Shione received a promotion from Genji to command the NSC’s first division. Shione requested her team to look into the situation since she was sure that Genji was corrupt. Kidou and Genji approached Yumika outside of her cell and offered to trade her life for the Secret Ninja Core, but she refused.
Ittoki learns about the execution. Tokisada requested that Ittoki dismiss him from the clan in order to save Yumika without Iga being held accountable for his wrongdoing.
Kousetsu placed her knife on Ittoki’s neck and begged him to expel her so that she could save her, remembering how Yumika had reared her after her parents abandoned her in the midst of nowhere.
Ittoki later gave the order to free his mother using Tokisada and Kousetsu, two Iga ninjas who had never violated a ninja rule. Kirei told Suzaku the information after overhearing the Iga clan gathering. When Suzaku encountered Kidou, he gave him the information on Iga village and asked to place him on the front lines.
The Koga clan attacked a chemical facility, planted unexploded munitions, and jammed the network surrounding the Iga village as their initial move to trap the Iga. The Koga ninjas could breach the initial line of defense using their Asura ninja robots. Iga ninjas congregated at the command post to be ready for combat.
Karajishi and his team encircled Tokisada and Kousetsu while they were rescuing Yumika. Suzaku received word that Kidou had slain his father and that he was the next target.
