Not all anime are adapted from mangas, light novels, or video games. The Japanese animation industry often releases original anime with no source materials.
Cowboy Bebop, Psycho-Pass, and Gurren Lagann are perfect examples of popular original titles.
Shikizakura is an original anime by Studio Sublimation that is scheduled for 2021. The original title revealed its first key visual and PV back in 2019.
A new promotional video was released for Shikizakura on its official YouTube channel on July 28.
The new promotional video revealed the opening theme for the anime titled ‘BELIEVE MY SELF’ by Asakika.
To commemorate the OP theme’s completion, Shikizakura’s official Twitter announced that a lucky fan who retweets the post would receive a signed poster of Asaki Hana and a voice actor.

Shikizakura is being directed by Kurosaki at Studio Sublimation with Nagakawa Shigeki overseeing the series composition. Chubu studios is designing the characters with Yu Sato and Makoto Sato as the CGI directors.

More 3D designs were released on Shikizakura’s official Twitter account on July 5 and July 25.
