Riverside might be the perfect place to enjoy summer vacations. We see our protagonists enjoying their summer to the fullest with wholesome and cute moments spread across the episode.
We finally found a flaw in Shikimori and a skill of Izumi. Izumi is good at cooking, and Shikimori is really bad at it (finally, something praiseworthy about him). Shikimori’s seductive nature always wins the fans’ hearts, and their cute dynamic puts our hearts to ease.

Episode 6 Speculations
In episode 6 of Shikimori’s not Just a Cutie, it’s time for fireworks.
This episode is a must for all romance anime, and now it’s time for Shikimori and Izumi. Although it’s a bit too early for the fireworks to start but who cares? If we get some more wholesome moments, we are in for it.
However, I believe that the anime should focus a little on character development as well because that’s absent in the entire show. Izumi does try his best to be the a good boyfriend, but it is getting a little repetitive with the storyline. Let’s see what we will get in the next episode.

Episode 5 Recap
Izumi, Shikimori, and their friends are ready to go to the river. On reaching there, the first thing they do is barbeque. Everybody is shocked to see that Izumi knows how to cook.
They start cooking and grilling. Shikimori tries to create a dish for Izumi. When the dish is done, and Izumi tastes it, he spits out most of it as it is a mixture of different flavors and doesn’t really taste nice.
Shikimori also tastes the food and doesn’t like it. Izumi, however, starts eating it even if it’s bad because Shikimori made it with all her heart.
Izumi makes some snacks for everyone and some special snacks for Shikimori. She starts teasing him again. After eating, they decide to go into the river. Shikimori is shy to wear the bikini she bought, but others are enjoying themselves.
Izumi sees a little girl getting swayed away by the river and starts following her to save her. He saves her and helps her climb the rock to the seashore. When Izumi starts climbing, his legs get cramped, and he falls down. The little girl started shouting and crying.
Others follow her voice and find Izumi drowning. Shikimori jumps into the water without hesitation and saves Izumi. Everything ends up fine. They are playing in the water when Izumi looks at Shikimori and compliments her bikini.
They return from the river and eat ice cream. Izumi takes a bite from Shikimori’s ice cream, and when Shikimori is about to take a bite from Izumi’s, Inuzuka takes up his whole ice cream in one bite.
Now it’s time to return home, they are all exhausted, and everyone falls asleep. Shikimori wakes up midway and sees Izumi’s head leaning on Inuzuka’s shoulder. She takes his head and leans it on her shoulder (such a caring mother). They are all super exhausted when they reach home and can’t even walk.

Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie is a romantic comedy manga series by Keigo Maki that started serialization on Twitter under the title ‘Kawaii dake ja Nai Onnanoko’ Manga in September 2018 before Magazine Pocket picked it up in February 2019.
The story revolves around Shikimori, who seems like the perfect girlfriend: cute and sweet when she wants to be but has a cool dark side that comes out when her boyfriend Izumi’s in trouble.
