This was another sweet episode, but the anime is getting a little repetitive with its content. Shikimori is always there for Izumi and makes sure he doesn’t feel down, or she always does things that will make Izumi happy.
In this episode, Izumi, Shikimori, and their friends went shopping for the summer season. Shikimori bought a swimsuit to impress Izumi. We got to see how Nekozaki and Shikimori became friends.
Izumi’s bad luck didn’t leave him even during his exams, but as always, Shikimori is present there so that he doesn’t feel bad or sad about anything.

Episode 4 Recap
It’s summertime, so Izumi and his friends decide to go to the beach, but Izumi gets sunburnt on the beach, so he avoids going there. Inuzuka knows this, so he suggests that they go to the river as it will be comfortable for Izumi as well. Everyone readily agrees with the idea.
Nekozaki decides that since it’s summer, they should go for some shopping. Nekozaki and Yui are looking for some swimsuits, but since Izumi doesn’t want one, Shikimori decides she won’t buy them. While they are roaming around the mall, Izumi sees a swimsuit advertisement.
Shikimori gets jealous and rushes toward the shop to buy a swimsuit. Nekozaki and Yui see her there and immediately understand the situation. Nekozaki recounts how she befriended Shikimori during a basketball match where they were facing each other.
Nekozaki always found Shikimori cute and wanted to be friends with her. Shikimori takes the upper hand during the match, so Nekozaki gets fired up. Seeing Nekozaki’s game, Izumi is impressed, making Shikimori jealous.
They both then go all out, but Nekozaki’s team wins the game. She offers to go out for lunch with Shikimori, and in this way, they become friends. They then buy a swimsuit for Shikimori.
Izumi’s exam didn’t go well because all his pens stopped working during the exam, and the teacher had to help him with his paper. Izumi is highly demotivated. This worries Shikimori a lot.
At night, Izumi is not able to study. Shikimori calls him, and they start talking. Shikimori just called to listen to his voice. They talk about the stars as Izumi has a great interest in them. They flirt with each other.
He starts feeling a little better. Izumi puts in front the desire to see her, which embarrasses Shikimori, and she hangs up the call.
In the bonus scene after the episode, Shikimori and Izumi’s mother take some cooking classes together.
